About Jay

Meet Jay Osborne – the coach in your corner who walks (and runs, bikes, and swims) the talk.

With nearly a decade of coaching experience and a track record of elite endurance achievements, Jay brings a rare mix of performance know-how, real-world grit, and personalised support to every athlete he works with.

He’s a 70.3 World Champs, World Duathlon, and World Triathlon age group qualifier –plus a multiple Half Ironman (4:30), marathon (2:50), and half marathon (1:22) finisher. But Jay’s proudest accomplishment? Coaching over 500 athletes to their own finish line moments – whether it’s their very first race or a long-time PB chase.

As a REPS registered trainer, TRI NZ accredited and Ironman certified coach, Hyrox Foundation certified, and an ASCA Strength & Conditioning Coach, Jay knows how to train smart, avoid burnout, and build strength from the ground up.

He’s not here to throw cookie-cutter plans your way. Jay’s coaching is about mapping out your goals, meeting you where you’re at, and helping you level up – physically and mentally – with structure, support, and purpose.

Based in Tauranga, Jay lives with his wife and two young children. When he’s not coaching or training, you’ll likely find him out surfing or enjoying the outdoors with his family. He believes training should enhance your lifestyle – not take it over – and he’s here to help you find that balance.

“Working with Jay has been a game changer. I’ve achieved goals I never thought possible, including training for my second Ironman – with coaching that adapts as life changes.”
